Settings Reference
Every input in the IIF settings panel, group by group, with defaults and practical guidance. Settings are numbered 01-10 in the panel exactly as they appear here.
How to read this page
Inputs are listed in panel order. Many inputs are context-aware: they gray out automatically when their parent feature is disabled, so if something looks locked, check its master toggle. Where a setting is covered in depth elsewhere, the group intro links to the relevant page.
01 Quick Activations
One-click extras, all off by default. Full detail in Chart Toolkit.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pivots | Off | Draw confirmed pivot high/low lines with sweep tracking. |
| Trend | Off | Show the structural trend panel at the top of the chart. |
| Squeeze | Off | Highlight candles breaking out of compression. |
02 Core Engine
The SOMM detection engine. Concepts in SOMM: The OrderBlock Engine.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| OrderBlock Engine | On | Master toggle for HTF OrderBlock detection, FVG visuals, and signal labels. |
| Auto HTF | On | Automatically select the detection HTF from the chart timeframe. |
| × (HTF multiplier) | 3 | Chart TF × multiplier = detection HTF, snapped to the standard TradingView ladder (e.g. 5m ×12 = 1H). |
| Manual HTF | 1M | Fixed detection timeframe used when Auto HTF is off. Must be ≥ the chart timeframe. |
| Require Internal FVGs | On | Skip OrderBlocks that contain no internal Fair Value Gaps. |
| Overlap Mode | Skip | When a new block overlaps an active one: Skip keeps the old, Supersede replaces it, Overlap allows both. |
| Max Active OBs | 3 | Maximum blocks shown at once (each uses 2+ boxes, 2 lines, 1 label from the shared 500-object budgets). Excess blocks are hidden, not deleted, and restored when slots free. |
| OB Lookback | 2000 | Maximum age in chart bars before a block is retired and cleaned up. |
| Min Width × ATR | 0.6 | Minimum block width as a multiple of HTF ATR(14). 0 disables. |
| Min Separation | 0.3 | Minimum edge distance between blocks in chart-ATR multiples. 0 disables. |
| HTF History Depth | 1000 | HTF bars loaded by the security request. Higher = deeper OB/Shift history but slower load; 1000 ≈ 12,000 chart bars on 5m/1H. |
03 OrderBlock Display
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Extend Bars | 100 | How far forward active OB boxes and accent lines extend. |
| Extend Filled | Off | Extend filled internal imbalances to the block’s end instead of stopping at the fill point. |
| History | On | Show historical boxes for enabled terminal OrderBlock types. |
| Show Last | 3 | Number of most-recent terminal blocks kept visible, ranked by event time. Each uses 1-2 boxes. |
| Show: Mitigated / Broken / Superseded | On / Off / Off | Which terminal block types are included in history. |
| End: Mitigated / Broken / Superseded | On / Off / Off | Whether each history box ends at its terminal event bar (on) or keeps the formation span with the terminal label (off). |
04 Dashboard
The Liquidity Matrix. Concepts in Liquidity Matrix.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Show Dashboard | On | Master toggle. |
| Mode | Imbalances | Imbalances: FVG volume distribution. Pivots: pivot density heatmap. |
| Lookback | 1000 | Bars scanned for dashboard data (both modes). |
| Max Rows | 100 | Safety cap on rows; each row consumes 2 boxes from the shared 500-box budget. |
| Offset | 120 | Bars into the future where the dashboard starts. |
| Width | 80 | Fixed bar-width of the dashboard column. |
| Rebalance Levels | On | Mark rows with high Active volume and low Filled volume; separate offset for the marker lines (default 110). |
| Active % / Filled % | 80 / 20 | Rebalance qualification: minimum share of the Active peak, maximum share of the Filled peak. Zero-filled rows qualify as the bottom of the Filled range. |
| ATR Length | 480 | ATR window used for row height. |
| Auto Divisor | On | Auto-scales the ATR divisor so rows cover the full lookback range, using 1-2-5 step rounding for stable cell alignment. |
| Manual (divisor) | 1.0 | Row height = ATR ÷ divisor when Auto is off. Higher = thinner rows, more resolution; can inflate row count toward the cap. |
| Row Borders | Off | Show borders on all dashboard rows. |
| Fit to Data | Off | Use available bar count when the chart is shorter than the lookback/ATR window, instead of showing a warning label. |
| Active High/Low, Filled High/Low | #FF6E40 / #64FFDA | Heat gradient endpoints for both columns. |
| Text / Highlight | White | Label color inside cells; border color on the highest-volume row. |
05 Signals
Concepts and qualification chains in Signal Hooks.
Shared & Structural Shifts
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Max Signal Labels | 15 | Total historical trigger labels kept on chart (shared 500-label budget). |
| Shift Lookback | 3000 | Maximum age in bars before a Shift line is retired. |
| Break Confirm | Close | Close: requires consecutive confirmed closes beyond the shift level. Wick: any wick breaks immediately. |
| Bars Tolerance | 6 | Consecutive closes required to confirm a shift break (Close mode). |
| Anchor to LTF FVG | On | Snap the shift origin to the nearest same-direction LTF gap for tighter structural alignment. |
| Bull / Bear Shift colors | #26C6DA / #EF5350 | Shift line and label colors. |
Block Exhaustion
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | Off | Show the label when a block is heavily filled and the oscillator reaches an extreme. Requires normalized oscillator. |
| Label | Exhaust | Custom on-chart text. |
| Min Fill % | 85 | Minimum block mitigation to arm the signal. |
| Osc Low / High | 25 / 75 | CVMI thresholds: ≤ Low arms bullish, ≥ High arms bearish. |
| Trigger Mode | Osc Exit | Instant: fires immediately. Osc Exit: fires when CVMI leaves the extreme. Rebalance: fires when price bounces back outside the block. |
Block Sweep
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On | Show the label when price sweeps beyond an OB edge and reclaims the zone. |
| Label | Sweep | Custom on-chart text. |
| Max Hunt × Width | 0.33 | Maximum sweep distance beyond the edge as a fraction of block width. 0 = any wick counts. |
| Reclaim Closes | 4 | Consecutive closes back inside the block required before the signal fires. |
| Oscillator Filter | Off | Additionally require CVMI at the favorable extreme (thresholds 25 / 75). |
Block Failure
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | Off | Show the label when a block’s structural break level is breached. |
| Label | Break | Custom on-chart text. |
| Trigger | Close | Close: only a confirmed close beyond the level fails the block. Wick: any excursion fails it. |
06 Oscillator
Concepts in CVMI: The Pressure Gauge.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Use Percentages | On | Measure gap size as % of price instead of absolute points, avoiding linear skew across price regimes. |
| Normalize (ADN) | On | Anchor the oscillator to 0-100 via the Adaptive Deviation Normalizer. |
| Period | 200 | EMA period for the ADN center and deviation envelope. Lower = more responsive; higher = smoother. |
| Sharpness | 1.5 | Sigmoid steepness of the 0-100 mapping. Higher = sharper extremes; lower = softer grading. |
| Raw Lookback | 480 | Range lookback for the raw feed when normalization is off. |
07 Volume
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Footprint Override | Off | Use true buy/sell footprint data (TradingView Premium/Ultimate). Warning: footprint data repaints; real-time analysis only. |
| Ticks Per Row | 100 | Price interval per footprint row, in ticks. Very low = excessive data; very high = no resolution. |
| Volume Mode | Spatial | Spatial: pure price-based gap sizing. Spatio-Volumetric: weights gaps by conviction and relative volume burst. Volumeless symbols force Spatial automatically. |
08 Overlay Tuning
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Show Fair Value Gaps | Off | Draw the raw FVG boxes the engine processes, with bull/bear colors. |
| Bull / Bear Tapped FVG | Dark navy | Fill colors for the mitigated portion of internal gaps inside OrderBlocks. |
| Trend Mode | OB-Type | Trend panel source: last HTF OrderBlock, or last confirmed pivot. |
| Pivot L / R | 10 / 10 | Pivot confirmation windows, shared by pivots display, Pivot-Type trend, and dashboard Pivot mode. |
| Squeeze Sigma | 3.0 | Deviation multiplier for squeeze detection; lower = more sensitive. |
| Mean Window / Deviation | 450 / 120 | Baseline body-size window and adaptive deviation window for squeeze candles. |
| Future Offset | 100 | Forward extension of active pivot lines and FVG boxes. |
| Max Pool | 500 | Memory cap for gaps and pivots (oldest discarded first); also bounds their drawings. |
09 Style
Three master colors drive the entire theme, so a full restyle is a three-click job.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bullish / Bearish | #26C6DA / #F23645 | Master colors driving OBs, signals, pivots, trend display, and normalization zones. The oscillator uses these hues at full opacity. |
| Neutral | #546E7A | No-data color for the trend display and the oscillator midpoint. |
| Mitigated Bull / Bear | #0ECB81 / #F23645 | Terminal colors for mitigated blocks (borders and labels direct; fills scaled by the fill factor). |
| Broken Bull / Bear | #673AB7 | Terminal colors for broken blocks. |
| OB Fill Factor | 30 | Multiplies fill opacity for active and historical blocks. 100 = the color’s own opacity; borders and labels unaffected. |
| History fills & borders | Muted navy/steel | Separate fill and border colors for bullish and bearish history boxes. |
10 Alerts
The alert groups (Any Events, JSON Payload, and the four Confluence groups) are documented on their own pages: Alerts & Webhooks covers the event toggles and payload fields; Confluence Engine covers the rule builder.
TradingView caps every indicator at 500 lines, 500 labels, and 500 boxes. IIF manages these budgets automatically: blocks beyond Max Active OBs hide rather than delete, dashboard rows respect Max Rows, and old drawings are recycled. If something you expect isn't drawn, one of these caps is usually why; see FAQ & Troubleshooting.
